Open Up…Your Wallet

This is a really easy game to play. It is taken from the ever popular “purse game”, but guys have just as much in their pockets and wallets as the ladies in their purses. So this game is a fun way to see just what we all have in our possession.

  • Split the group into small groups of 3-4 people.
  • Have everyone pull out 2-3 items either from their purse or wallet. These items can be anything but need to be personal to you.
  • Ask everyone to share with their small group how each item is personal to them. For example, if it is a movie stub, they could talk about what movies they like to go to. If it is a photo they could, explain why it is meaningful.
  • When the time is up, ask the entire group if there is an interesting story they would like to share. Make sure that the person who shared that story gives their permission. Most folks are more willing to share in a smaller setting rather than a larger one.

Have someone call out the names of items that are “normally” found in a person’s pockets, wallet, or purse. Assign a point value to each of those items.

Each person keeps up with their own points as the game progresses. The person who has the most points at the end of the game, wins. Here are some sample items to get you started. But feel free to make up your own list.
